The EL406 Combination Washer Dispenser offers fast, full plate washing along with three reagent dispensers in one, compact instrument… all from the recognized industry leader. The EL406 is the latest advancement in 1536-, 384- and 96-well microplate washing and dispensing incorporating BioTek’s patented Dual-Action™ manifold, optimized washing for loosely adherent cell monolayers, built-in patent-pending Ultrasonic Advantage™ for unattended wash manifold maintenance and up to four wash buffers for complex wash routines.
BioTek’s EL406 magnetic bead washing module offers high strength biomagnetic separation in both 384- and 96-well microplates. Based upon what is regarded as the industry standard in microplate washing, BioTek’s EL406™ Microplate Washer Dispenser offers full plate washing of magnetic microspheres used in a growing number of multiplex assays and bead-based ELISAs along with reagent dispensing. Developed in conjunction with leaders in genotyping, gene expression and protein assays built upon the Luminex® xMAP® platform, BioTek’s magnets incorporate high-energy neodymium iron boron magnets for rapid separation of micrometer and nanometer beads with superior retention. An accessory magnet adapter kit allows any EL406 configuration to accommodate magnetic bead assay washing and dispensing. An available vacuum filtration module makes the EL406 also well suited for polystyrene bead assays and filtration-to-waste processes. The EL406 Washer Dispenser is Luminex® xMAP® approved.

To meet the ever growing demand for automated washing of microsphere based assays, the industry leading ELx405 Microplate Washer is now available with modules for both vacuum filtration and biomagnetic separation. BioTek’s latest ELx405 enhancements offer full plate washing of polystyrene and magnetic microspheres used in a growing number of multiplex assays and bead-based ELISAs, such as those developed on the Luminex® xMAP® technology platform. An available vacuum filtration feature automates the wash steps of filter bottom plates with four adjustable vacuum levels for optical performance with filter pore sizes ranging from 0.45 µm to 1.2 µm. Developed with leaders in genotyping, gene expression and protein assays, the ELx405′s biomagnetic separation incorporates high-energy neodymium iron boron magnets for rapid separation of micrometer and nanometer beads with superior retention. The ELx405 Washer is Luminex® xMAP® approved.

BioTek’s new MultiFlo™ Microplate Dispenser is the latest advancement in bulk dispensers offering up to four reagents dispensed in parallel with one compact instrument. The MultiFlo offers a choice of either peristaltic pump or microprocessor controlled syringe drive technologies. Users can purchase one channel now and add others in the future. A wide array of plate types are accommodated from 6- to 1536-well formats. The MultiFlo dispenses a broad volume range from 1 µL to 3 mL accurately and precisely with a fully modular and upgradable design. BioTek’s proprietary angled dispensing ensures compatibility with all dispense protocols including reagent addition to loosely adherent cell monolayers. For assays requiring minimum reagent usage, the MultiFlo’s prime volume is under 1 mL. A built-in priming trough is designed to allow both recovery of reagents or to send primed reagent directly to waste.
With a small footprint and base height of less than 8″, the MultiFlo comfortably fits on any laboratory bench or robotic system. Easily integrated with a BioStack™ Microplate Stacker, up to 75 plates can be reliably dispensed by the MultiFlo with walkaway confidence. Alternatively, robotic integration of the MultiFlo to third party automated systems is seamless with available Liquid Handling Control™ Software. LHC™ additionally allows dispense protocols to be created and run from the PC or downloaded to the onboard user interface.

MicroFill™ offers an economical, compact, and reliable alternative to existing microplate dispensers. Accurate and precise dispensing are guaranteed without the time-consuming recalibration, cassette replacement, and maintenance commonly associated with other dispensers available today. Autoclavability is standard available for those applications requiring a sterile fluid path.
Using BioTek’s vast expertise in liquid handling, MicroFill™ incorporates a microprocessor controlled syringe pump for optimal performance. 24-, 96- and 384-well standard microplates and deep well blocks are accommodated with flexible volume ranges from 5 µL to 6,000 µL per well. MicroFill’s compact footprint makes it ideally suited to fit inside laminar flow cabinets. The user-controlled dispense flow rates allow low- to high-velocity dispensing for any application.

The Precision™ XS uniquely combines a single-channel sample processing head, an 8-channel pipetting head and an 8-channel bulk reagent dispenser all in one compact, affordable product. In addition to transfers using disposable pipette tips, the Precision XS’ autoclavable and organic solvent resistant bulk reagent dispenser is available for transferring larger volumes. Intuitive Precision Power PC software simplifies the programming of applications from hit picking to serial dilutions even for those new to automated liquid handling. BioTek’s BioStack™ Microplate Stacker increases liquid handling throughput by delivering up to 30 microplates to the Precision XS platform.
